Silver Spring, MD—April 14, 2025 — A devastating single-car crash in Silver Spring has claimed the life of a well-loved local woman, leaving a community heartbroken and grieving.
According to the Montgomery County Police Department, the fatal accident occurred at approximately 10:41 p.m. on Sunday in the 10400 block of Colesville Road, near Southwood Avenue. The victim, driving a black Kia Telluride, struck a utility pole before the vehicle rolled over. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities reported that multiple witnesses called 911 immediately following the crash. Pepco crews responded swiftly to replace the damaged utility pole and restore power to the area.
After notifying her family, police identified the driver as Osbelia Minh, a Wheaton, Maryland native and respected alumna of Montgomery College, Rockville and Albert Einstein High School. She was affectionately known to loved ones as “Peaches.”
