On the morning of Monday, April 14, 2025, a wave of grief swept through Jackson, Mississippi, and beyond, following the devastating news that Mallory Frazier, daughter of Lakeshore Church Pastor Jay Frazier and his wife Suzanne, tragically lost her life in a car accident on Interstate 55. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Mallory’s sudden passing has left her family, church community, and countless friends reeling with sorrow. Known for her radiant spirit, boundless kindness, and deep faith, all who knew her profoundly felt her absence.
An Extraordinary Young Woman
More than a pastor’s daughter, Mallory was a vibrant, compassionate woman with a deep calling to help others. She was pursuing a doctorate in occupational therapy at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, following her passion for healing and service. A proud Mississippi College graduate, she was admired for her intelligence, empathy, and unwavering faith.
Mallory’s life was marked by purpose. Whether in a classroom, clinic, or conversation, she carried light, leaving people feeling seen, loved, and encouraged. Her faith was not just inherited—it was lived out daily in the way she loved and served others.

Mallory was recently engaged to Carson Turner, and the two looked forward to building a future together. Her joy, warmth, and loving nature were evident in every relationship she nurtured. A Community United in Grief and Prayer
The news of Mallory’s passing has deeply shaken both Lakeshore Church and Wellspring Church, where the Frazier family has long-standing ties. In a public message, Wellspring Church shared:
“Mallory Frazier, the beloved daughter of our dear friends Pastor Jay and Suzanne Frazier, was tragically killed in an auto accident this morning. Mallory was a bright light, full of life and joy. Her passing leaves an unimaginable void in the lives of those who knew and loved her. We grieve with Pastor Jay, Suzanne, and their family in this time of profound pain.”
They concluded with the comforting words of Psalm 34:18: “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.”
To honor her life and lift the family in collective prayer, Lakeshore Church has planned a candlelight vigil and prayer gathering. The church has also organized a special day of prayer coverage for the Frazier family, with members and friends invited to participate in a continuous prayer vigil from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
