Hannah Cyr Car Accident: Buffalo, NY Family Mourns Tragic Loss of 7-Year-Old Daughter, Hannah St. Cyr

Buffalo, NY – April 16, 2025 – The Buffalo community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Hannah St. Cyr, a bright and beloved 7-year-old who tragically passed away in an accident earlier this week. Hannah, a first-grade student at The Park School of Buffalo, was known for her joyful spirit, kindness, and the warmth she brought to everyone around her.

Her parents, Ashley and Doug St. Cyr, are grieving the unimaginable loss of their daughter, whose radiant presence left a lasting impression on her classmates, teachers, and the families of both Park School and the Kadimah Scholars community.

A Bright Light Remembered

Hannah’s passing has sent waves of sorrow through Buffalo’s Jewish and educational communities. Described as a loving friend and vibrant student, she was deeply cherished by all who knew her.

In a message shared with families, Kadimah Scholars leadership wrote, “Hannah’s bright spirit, joy, and kindness touched the lives of her classmates, teachers, and the many families who knew her. Her loss is felt profoundly across our community.”

Her mother, Ashley St. Cyr, is a dedicated and active member of the local Jewish community and serves on the board of Kadimah Scholars at Park. She has long championed Jewish education and values, and the community is now rallying around her and her family with love and compassion during this time of profound grief.

Funeral and Memorial Arrangements

A funeral service honoring Hannah’s life will be held on:
