WakeMed Suicide – Tragic Death at WakeMed Raleigh Campus After Man Jumps from Parking Deck
Raleigh, NC — A man has tragically died by suicide after jumping from a parking deck at WakeMed Raleigh Campus on Friday, April 18, 2025.
According to reports, multiple law enforcement agencies were dispatched to the WakeMed Health and Hospitals facility located at 3000 New Bern Avenue following a report of a deceased individual. Officials confirmed that the man jumped from the fifth floor of the hospital’s parking structure.
Authorities quickly secured the scene, and an investigation is underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. WakeMed has not released any additional information regarding the individual’s identity at this time.
Witnesses described the scene as shocking and deeply upsetting, with hospital staff and visitors visibly shaken. Crisis counselors and support services have been made available to employees and others affected by the tragedy.
